The NCDA has been offering support and advice in the area for over 10 years.


Our new Drop-in-Centre is for anyone who would like advice or information on dyslexia or any other literacy difficulties eg.

  parents
  teachers
  support/teaching assistants
  students

and is staffed by members of the North Cumbria Dyslexia Association (NCDA)

The Drop-in-Centre is open to all ages and people, and can be used as a stepping stone to help you or others to move on.

The sessions will be:

  caring
  informative
  informal

The Drop-in-Centre will provide specialist areas of help from:

  dyslexic individuals
  support teachers
  parents of dyslexic children
  teachers of dyslexic children

Many resources will be made available at these sessions and you can find out more about the help that is available for dyslexia and other literacy problems.

Our Drop In Centre is now located in Chatsworth House, Chatsworth Square, Carlisle (diagonally opposite Carlisle College).
